Todd Brendalen has been an influential leader at LWA Architects, playing a pivotal role in steering the firm forward following the retirement of LaMarr Womack. With over 33 years of architectural experience, Todd has dedicated his career to designing educational facilities that meet the unique needs of students and educators alike. His expertise and commitment to creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces have earned him numerous awards for school design from TASA/TASB in 2015, 2013, 2007, and 2003.

 

Todd holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design (1988) and a Master of Architecture (1990) from Texas A&M University. He has been a registered architect in Texas since 1995, with TX Architectural Registration No. 15111. His extensive experience and passion for architecture are reflected in his numerous affiliations, including the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, and his past presidency of the AIA-Corpus Christi Chapter in 2009.

Throughout his career, Todd has been recognized for his exceptional work, including being named the AGC South Texas Chapter Architect of the Year multiple times (2001, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, and 2012). His portfolio includes a wide range of projects, such as new primary and high schools for various ISDs, administrative buildings, sports facilities, and more. Notable projects include the Skidmore-Tynan ISD New High School, Aransas Pass ISD Faulk Elementary, and Port Aransas ISD Performing Arts Center.

Outside of his professional achievements, Todd enjoys hobbies such as antique car restoration, drawing, and painting. These interests not only reflect his creative spirit but also his dedication to preserving and appreciating the craftsmanship of the past.
