Victor R. Cruz has been a vital part of LWA Architects since he joined the firm as an intern in 2011, following his graduation from Texas Tech University with a Master of Architecture. Over the past 13 years, Victor has played a significant role in advancing the firm’s technological capabilities, bringing the office into the 21st century with his expertise in production management, supervision of CAD staff, and implementation of computer systems including BIM processes and workflows. His leadership in these areas has ensured that LWA Architects remains at the forefront of architectural innovation and efficiency.
In 2022, Victor joined the company partnership, solidifying his commitment to the firm’s growth and success. His responsibilities extend to managing the schematic and design development phases of projects, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Victor is a registered architect in Texas since 2015 (TX Architectural Reg. #: 24887) and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects. He is also set to serve as the Secretary of the AIA Corpus Christi Chapter in 2024. His dedication to his profession has been recognized with awards such as the AGC South Texas Chapter Architect of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
His extensive project experience includes notable works like the Ingleside ISD Leon Taylor Middle School, Woodsboro ISD New Elementary, and San Diego ISD Jr. High.
Outside of architecture, Victor enjoys hobbies such as gardening and collecting miniature cars. He is also an avid LEGO enthusiast, finding joy in the intricate and creative process of building. These hobbies reflect his meticulous attention to detail and his passion for design in all forms.
